Remembering the 33: Joanna performs at the Macron Stadium, in memory of the Burnden Park Tragedy
08.03.2016: Seventy years since 33 people lost their lives in the Burnden Park tragedy, Joanna was honoured to sing "Abide with Me" before Bolton v Ipswich.
After wowing fans in the VIP Fanzone with a live performance of her EP, recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Joanna then took to the pitch to perform an emotional version of Abide with Me. Following this, fans and families observed an immaculate minute's silence in memory of the 33 who never came home from their football match.
Following the match, in which Bolton drew 2-2 with Ipswich Town, Joanna said "I was so honoured to be asked to perform at this important anniversary for those who lost their lives 70 years ago. Bolton Wanderers is a very special club with brilliant fans who were so kind to me last year when I performed, that it was great to return to do this for them."
